January  2022

BAMA has a new volunteer! Snider's family is part of our BAMA food bank, and as he waits for mom to shop, he helps us out. At first, he was reluctant and shy, and now he's super busy and always helpful. Thanks, Snider!

We also had a clothing giveaway today, thanks to donations from Jeri Jones and Mark Wald, N Beth Line, and a few other kind folks. If you have gently used clothing or home goods, we'd be happy to receive them and pass them along.

Thank you to Claudette Shaw for bringing feminine hygiene products and managing the clothing distribution. Thanks always to our great volunteers, Jhuma Suarez, Mery Rocafuerte, and Geovanny Arteaga. And to my right hands...Josue Muñoz Rodríguez and Lidián Cedeño García, thank you for always coming early to clean the space and organizing the food distributions each month so that everything runs smoothly.

Thank you to #GrupoPiedra for the generous discount on our food staples and to the offices of #OttoVera for providing Manglaralto Giving with social workers to connect with the communities of Santa Elena. Thanks also to #jaapman for letting us use the space for our office and distribution.

So far, we have four new monthly sponsors as we work on our goal to add ten new families to the food bank.
