About Us

During the 2020 pandemic lockdown, the small town of Manglaralto became a coastal tourist area with no tourists. People living in the area typically rely on tourist activity for their livelihoods. Families also have little savings as the typical daily wage is $20. Several ex-pats who have homes along the coast decided to help with food staples for any family in need. We began asking our family and friends back home in the United States for monetary help.

After the lockdown ended, a small group of ex-pats realized that tremendous needs remained in the Manglaralto area, and the not-for-profit charity named Manglaralto Giving was started.

Manglaralto Giving, Inc. was incorporated in Indiana, United States, in November 2020. We became a charity recognized by the United States of America in February 2020. We file a yearly 990-N report with the IRS.

Manglaralto Giving is not a foundation, as defined by the USA IRS. We receive our support through individual and public supported donations.
